PANORAMA CITY – A follow-home robbery was thwarted Tuesday night when the victim fought off his assailant, police said. Ricardo Sainc, 22, cashed a money order at a local store, then returned to his home in the 9000 block of Tobias Avenue where a man knocked at his door and forced his way inside, officials said. Sainc fought off his assailant, who fled. The assailant was described only as a 19- to 20-year-old Latino, 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds. Sainc was likely followed home after having seen him come out of the store counting his cash, officials said. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
